DAUN KUNYIT

Batik Kunyit inspired by the Turmeric flowering plant used in most Traditional Malaysian Cooking. It's long leaf blades are thin, elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, and during the flowering season, tiny, bright blossoms appear on the plant's lengthy stems, adorned with long, green, lance-shaped leaves.

Great for medicinal purposes and cooking, we specifically chose the Turmeric plant because of it's flower that is used as a part of our Terengganu cooking. Cut into thin slices as salads or as a side-dish, we truly value our culture and made it a part of our Penawar 2023 Collection

Cotton Poplin Range

Ironing and washing made easy, handblocked batiks using this fabric can be made into all kinds of clothing, sarongs and interior purposes such as tablecloths, runners, pillowcases and even bags!
